Craigs Shocktober Horror Marathon 2014 - Day 15: Retro Puppet Master (1999) Andre Toulon tells his living puppets the story of how he came to possess the secrets of infusing life into inanimate objects by saving the life of a sorcerer who passes along the knowledge to him. However, he also passes along his dark pursuers - a trio of mummies whose mission is to protect the secret of life by killing anyone who knows about it. Ironically, Retro Puppet Master has nostalgia going for it and not much else. Again, the stop motion effects are lower quality than the first three films and the articulation of the puppets are obviously manipulated by human hands... in fact, Im pretty sure I saw a hand holding one of the puppets in a scene. The story is goofy as balls and the acting is laughably atrocious even by Full Moon standards. Score 1 out of 4 Sutek Mummy Priest Assassins
