Craigs take on OBAMACARE. I tried for the most part to stay off - TopicsExpress

Craigs take on OBAMACARE. I tried for the most part to stay off poilitics on Facebook and in grocery stores. But it has been thrown in my face several time asking what I think when you may already have a clear answer. Im not writing this for a comment back. Or any recognition. That way if someone asks me again, I can just refer them to my facebook page. So I wont have to explain this again. 1st to get this off my chest. I didnt vote for Obama, just cause Im black dont mean I voted for the guy. I didnt vote for him and I didnt vote for Bush either. I dont vote because Im an American and I wont call into judgment anything any of our presidents do did or will do and or doing. I do find that talk to be treasonous. But oh well who cares about that stuff anyways. People talk about what the founding fathers would want for this country. I bet they wouldnt take the way Americans are talking about their leaders in todays fashion. 2nd Obamas first election he won Texas. Popular and electoral votes. But its so funny im yet to in 6 years to ever find anyone who ever voted for him. So with that being said I think there are a lot of people lying to me and to everyone else most importantly yourself. Its silly. 3rd is the meat of this subject. The Patient Protection And Affordable Care Act. For the unintelligent thats the real name they voted for also called (Obamacare). For this excerpt I will refer to it as much. I hear two major arguments against this bill. From people who dont like it. 1st is because of their medical insurance rising and taxing uninsured people. and the 2nd is because it infringes on peoples right to choose. Let me express my viewpoints on this matter. They are 100% right in the fact that heath care premiums are going to go up. Which I can understand no one wanting to happen cause most people like money. But where I fall off the track is when they say they have the right to choose whether they want health insurance. Cause I in return ask what right is the law violating. I dont recall any of that in the Constitution , or bill of rights. Please inform me of where it is so I can go educate my self. For example if I say people shouldnt have guns. Then you would say its our right spelled out in the 2nd amendment of the constitution the right to bear arms. But saying its illegal and your defense is because it is im not jumping on board with this argument without a little more meat to hold on to. NOW as for people who want this bill to pass. First of all you got the votes. Elected the president who was onboard with the idea. and got the right people in the white house, senate and congress to vote for it as well. And as for as I know its has to be a majority vote in any step of that process. Please again anyone please correct me if im wrong. ITs a law and its going to happen. Reasons why I hear you want the law. A lot I hear because it is now affordable to lower income families. Also I hear of the no lifetime limit. Which I find to be very good. Bad points is that it will cost people that have insurance to have to end up paying a lot more. You should have used your democratic rights to strike and picket for you companies to provide healthcare. But I can understand how hard that can be if your lively hood is on the line My thoughts I think people who dont want this bill to pass are being selfish. and here is why, the right to choose I use that term loosely, is not being applied to a lot of people in this country, people in their 20s making minimum wage dont have the right to choose. not with their monthly salary. And I feel thats what the presidents plan ( although house and senate voted on it too) are in a sense making it available to them. I hear about companies not going to be affording health care. And I find that silly. They can afford its just have to find ways to. For instance. When the govt passed laws making companies pay for overtime on the workers. That was the same arguments oh we cant afford it we will have to lay people off. That was a lie back then and a lie right now. My list of companies who dont provide health care to employees (Mc Donalds, Wal-Mart,) Wow two of the largest companies in the world. I fail to believe they couldnt have offered some kind of health care. So if you are still against people to have health care stop using the services of people who are less fortunate Whether is their fault or not. Stop going to Wal-Mart, stop going to McDonalds, stop going to the movies, stop going home most homes built are by people who dont have health insurance. I was one of them for about 7 years. If you have any stats to repute that please inform me of it. My wrap up Im just happy for once insurance companies have to walk the talk they been preaching for years. You can pay insurance for 40 or 50 years and there is no limit on what you can pay to the insurance company. But after 30 years you may get cancer and insurance companies feel they have paid enough just to cut you off, and other insurances wont pick you up because you are sick. They are preying on people, and companies have very little to loose. People are generally out of work and dont have the money to hire lawyers to combat the injustices. which works out great for insurances. Even better if their patient dies first. They see that as a positive thing. Please correct me again if you feel my logic is incorrect. BUt my real problem is the hospitals. 700 dollars without insurance to tell me that I didnt have a broken toe. Thats a whole nothing topic I have the time nor the patients to get into. Hope you enjoyed this watered down version. Dont text message me later about it. Comment on this page if you like. I may or may not respond. Have a good day!!!
