Cranfield Engages with the Defence Procurement Community and its Alumni at DPRTE 2014 Cranfield University is the Academic Partner of the Defence Procurement, Research, Technology & Exportability (DPRTE) 2014 event on 8 October in Cardiff. DPRTE 2014 is a unique promotional, educational and engagement platform for both MOD and industry to connect, in order to explore the key challenges, programmes and future opportunities that exist within the defence acquisition supply chain. Cranfield’s experts will be actively contributing to the day’s programme: Dr David Moore will be Chairing and contributing to the debate in the Keynote Area, Jeremy Hilton and Matthew Summers will be presenting on key technological issues in the R&T Zone. A team of Cranfield experts will be on hand to provide free advice to delegates via pre–booked meetings on a range of the most challenging topics affecting the defence supply chain including: export controls, offsets, through-life services, EU regulation, open innovation, change management and strategic sourcing decisions. An informal networking lunch is being hosted by Cranfield which will be open to all Cranfield and Defence Academy alumni as well as Cranfield’s many friends within the defence industry who will be attending the event.
