Crash. Burn. Serena out, Li Na out, Wawrinka out. Its become a French open of firsts. First time reigning Australian champs out in first round of French (Na and Wawrinka) , First time in open era top 2 ladies seeds out by second round. Serena never really in match, losing 2 and 2. Funny, when Venus and Serena are slated to meet in a draw one or both always seem to get upset earlier. Venus lost as well today. Some other upsets, Dimitrov and Almagro out. Notable that Nadal started with very hard draw, but with Almagro (who beat Nadal in Barcelona) and Wawrinka (who beat Nadal at Australian) out, his path to finals eases up significantly! Sharapova now has an easier path as well, with her quarters match up with Williams avoided.
