Crazy, horrible story but it strikes a deep chord. I was misdiagnosed at the beginning of my infirmity by the Royal Adelaide Hospital with Somatoform Condition and elements of our SA Health system and several of my colleagues in Government went further in assuming I was a malingerer. This led to destitution, homelessness and a lack of any type of treatment or pain alleviation strategies for my true illness recently diagnosed by one of Australias best neurologists. There are only four in this group. Its a terminal disease and it can be described as Motor Neurone on ice. Within a certain, short while, I will be confined to a bed until I die. I feel that the government institutions Ive paid tax for all my life have robbed me of a year and a half of quality life when I have possibly only months or short years left relatively mobile. Hmmmm
