Cream Cheese Pound Cake (One of my personal favorites and always seems to find its way into the holidays somewhere. A page follower requested this so I think since I pulled this out I need to get busy this coming weekend! ENJOY!) Ingredients: 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened at room temperature 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened 1 1/2 cups sugar 4 eggs 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 2 cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 3/4 tsp salt Directions: Preheat the oven to 325 F. Lightly grease a loaf pan and lightly dust with flour. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt and set aside. In a large bowl, beat together the butter and cream cheese on medium high speed until creamy. Then add the sugar and beat until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix in the vanilla. Then on the lowest speed, gradually add the dry ingredients until incorporated. Pour the batter into your loaf pan. Bake one hour to 75 mins or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean or with a few crumbs attached. Remove the pound cake from the pan and place on a wire rack to cool. Serve once it has cooled completely. Pound cake freezes well.your pound cake. For more exciting recipes like this, please come over to my website at Chefronlock and click on the RECIPES tab.
