Crime Prevention Tips: Home Safety *ALWAYS lock your doors (cars too!) *Turn your alarm on when leaving *Install outdoor lighting at entrances, ground level windows and garage doors *Keep bushes trimmed to limit hiding places for intruders *Always know who is at the door before opening it *Ask to see I.D. before letting a repair or delivery person in your house. If you are still suspicious, call the company or police. *If a stranger asks to use your phone, offer to make the call for them. Never let them in. *Never let a stranger know you are home alone- whether at the door or on the phone.
