Crime in San Lorenzo--- We are experiencing a new phenomena, not of new crime, but of the criminals actually being CAUGHT, instead of getting away, based primarily on 2 things: 1) observant citizens who are taking down license plates and giving details like vehicle and suspect (or suspicious persons or vehicle) descriptions to the sheriffs and calling them immediately (which believe it or not, didnt usually happen all that often- mostly people used to not remember what suspects looked like, so sheriffs didnt have anywhere to turn...) and 2) locally-based Sheriffs, who are stationed throughout the community, doing their patrols, working with San Lorenzo citizens to give classes on being observant and safe, and who are here within minutes of a crime or a suspicious person call (because they are locally-based and try to stay in areas that they can be easily called), to collect the details and actually CAPTURE the suspect BAD GUYS... Most of the bad guys are reportedly being CAUGHT now.... instead of getting away...just to come back another day to do it again..... What you are seeing now is THIS.... the CAPTURES... (In the past, you never really heard about the actual crimes happening.... and they happen all the time...). No, its not like the 50s.... but then where is? We live here and deal with the NOW.... The criminals do their thing, and SAN LORENZO, including its citizens, all of our local law enforcement, like Alco Sheriffs and CHP, are now doing OUR thing in combatting crime..... And, I must say, this newly found COOPERATIVE effort is really impacting getting bad guys off the streets of San Lorenzo. We are not easy pickings...That is what you get when you get organized, you become law enforcements eyes/ears, and you have a supportive law enforcement that does all the FRONT LINE work for you, on your behalf... Our law enforcement puts their lives on the line every time they do so much as a simple traffic stop.... the Grant Avenue/Hesperian incident just this week was because of an ongoing vehicle pursuit that may have originated near Meekland, which originally was just a traffic stop. That vehicle fled, and pursuit was called off due to safety concerns. That vehicle was believed to be spotted at Grant/Hesperian once again, later on, where a deputy exited his vehicle to stop the suspect car on Hesperian just in front of Grant near the Luckys, and the suspects car reportedly tried to BACK UP and run over the Deputy as he was going around the car to the passenger side..... That is when the deputy shot into the vehicle to stop the bad guy....the vehicle fled down Hesperian, and was eventually captured near the 92 by a cooperative effort of law enforcement. They risk their lives every day to get rid of the bad guys in San Lorenzo. They DESERVE our support. So Lets Support them, lets get educated by going to their classes that they provide to the community totally for FREE.... and lets END CRIME in San Lorenzo!
