Critical Questions That All Believers Need to Consider 1) If you were qualified to forgive (save) anyone that you chose to, would you be a righteous judge if you randomly saved people for no particular reason and by not choosing others, condemn them to an eternal hell? Prov.17:15 2) The devil has chosen to blind minds of the unsaved. 2Cor.4:1-4 Does this mean that the devil has elected some to be saved by not blinding the minds of everyone? 2Cor.3:16 3) If someone convinces another that they are eternally secure (unconditionally saved) and they were not saved, would that person be a stumbling block? Matt.13:41-43, Luke 17:1-2 4) If a person is eternally secure, how could they be sure? Would there be some kind of emotional feeling, or maybe a certain amount of intellectual knowledge of scripture, or maybe there would be some religious deeds (works)? 2Cor.13:5, 2Pt.1:10-11 5) If some people are unconditionally predestined for salvation, why do all of the New Testament writers exhort us to continue, abide, preserver, or endure to the end in order to be saved? Matt.10:22, 1Cor.15:1-2, Col.1:21-23, Rom.11:20-24, 1Pt.1:9, Heb.3:6-19, 1Ti.4:16 6) If Jesus only made atonement for those who think they are Gods elect, why do all of the New Testament writers imply or some times plainly state the opposite? 1Jn.2:2, 2Pt.2:1, 1Ti.2:3-6, Heb.2:9, Jn.5:39-40, Matt.23:37, Matt.11:28-30, Matt.22:3 7) We are saved by grace through (because of) faith. If faith does not always manifest itself in obedience (works or deeds) why do all of the New Testament writers say that it is only those who obey Jesus that will be saved? Heb.5:9, 1Pt.4:17-18, 2Thes.1:5-10, Lk.6:46-49 8) If saving faith is mere intellectual knowledge of the historic Jesus, (death, burial, resurrection, deity, etc.) why is it that we are told to test ourselves to see if we are IN the faith and to apply all diligence to make sure of our calling and election? 2Cor.13:5, 1Pt.1:10-11 9) If those who are called by God are automatically saved, why was the man who had no wedding garments and the unfaithful (no faith) slave cast into hell? Matt.22:9-14, Matt.25:24-30, Rev.3:4-5 10) If people are incapable of loosing their salvation, what percent of their sins does God need to cause a person to repent of? If a person refuses to repent of 40% of their sins, will God forgive them of 100% of their sins? Lk.17:1-4, Lk.24:47, Acts 3:19, Acts 17:30-31 11) If a person repents of all their sins and later in life refuses to repent of fornication or heresy, was he or she saved to begin with or does God automatically forgive him or her? What if they commit fornication a thousand times? Was he or she saved if they die in an unrepentant state? How can a person be sure they were saved to begin with? Gal.6:7-8 12) If a person is born again and they try to obey Jesus, are they guilty of works salvation? What if they try real hard or teach others to obey His commandments? Matt.28:18-20 I am looking for anyone to set down with me to have an honest bible study on the above questions. So far not one Calvinist has been able to answer these questions. Maybe they are biblicaly illiterate. Contact Bob at; rfweller@juno
