Criticism, if exercised in a positive manner cannot be objected, but if it is exceeding the limits, it shall not be tolerated. In the CAC meeting, Vincent Benny had argued for Uniform Rate policy for all canteens, which didnt exist so far. In addition to which, the quality and quantity of the product was also prescribed. For the first time, a quality assessment committee was formed with Chairperson, CAC, Dr(Estate), DSW, Chief warden, and President, Students Union, who would frequently assess the performance of Canteens. Hence any complaint on any canteen may be addressed in written/orally to any of the members. Since DR(Estate) was not available, official notification was not released. It will be released soon. As far as criticism is concerned, it is malicious in nature and it degrades the character of President, Students Union. As mentioned in the cartoon, there was no consultation held with Vincent, with regard to incorporation of additional members in the committee. SFI wanted its representation in Campus Amenities Committee, which generally consists of Elected office bearers. In this matter, the CAC chairperson himself objected, since it violates the constitution of such body. As a matter of fact, it is this union, which is making all bodies to have student representation in every body, which had begun from participation of student representatives in the COURT, which is the apex body of the institution. In last year, the tendering processes have been handled single handed by Administration, without any student representation (SFI must introspect before criticizing) . In order to correct such practice, Quality assessment committee is being activated. If SFI wants to malign the character of President, Students Union 2014-15 , students will certainly bury it deep down. Rather, engage in healthy and constructive crticism.
