Critics allege these violate statute? Thats not an allegation. Its a FACT. Read the ordinances. They declare themselves EXEMPT from that statute, the Vermont Sportsmens Bill of Rights. Which is the entire intent of these proposals: to attack that preemption statute. I live in St. Johnsbury. The capital of Vermont is Montpelier. I do not propose to be governed by Burlington. Now, if you want an ALLEGATION, and an unsubstantiated one at that, you made one yourself, Mr. Barlow: that these changes increase public safety. Thats a load of unsubstantiated, unsupportable crap. And Id hardly say that anything at all that passed in an election with something less than 20 percent turnout has overwhelming support. -eddie burlingtonfreepress/story/opinion/my-turn/2014/10/31/burlington-legislators-must-lead-charter-change/18199793/?fb_action_ids=10153100761968488&fb_action_types=ogments
