Cross-Fire special email expose a divide in APC: Dr. Sylvia Blyden email expose APC Government infighting and the hatred the President have for the press. More revaluation on Friday. --------------------------- The Special Executive Assistant to the President, Sylvia Blyden, has made an alarming claim that the President was surrounded by dangerous people. President has too many dangerous folks on his team, Ms. Blyden wrote in a private email to Alieu Iscandri, a Us-Based Lawyer. Ar fed up, added the SEA, in creole. Ms. Blyden also predicted that President Koromas government was doomed to fail and she wasnt going to be a part of such a failure. I am thinking things over in my mind. Not sure I want to be a party to what might turn out to be a failed regime. Cousin this na between me and you oh, she wrote. I am thinking to myself if helping to lead Salone is worth it. The secrets were spilled by Ms. Blyden herself on Facebook, after Mr. Iscandri threatened to reveal private email exchanges between the two. Let me help you out here and post verbatim what I said to you in your inbox that you are threatening to expose, the SEA wrote, and then revealed the secrets. But Mr. Iscandri was not amused with the email, which was sent on May 10 this year. He stated, Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, you are too prickly and angry these days. You need to ask yourself what is really going on? The lawyer is urging President Koroma to dismiss Ms. Blyden from government. If the President is not careful he will one day put his hands on his jaw and shed some tears for not heeding this warning. Ms. Blyden has tried to play down the issue, stating that this was a private conversation between two cousins. One thing this exchange has done is to confirm that M. Alieu Iscandri was not corresponding with me in an official capacity, she explained. She further added that her assessment of Koromas government was based on the fact that at the time it is no secret that I was having challenges from several government officials. The SEA has been in the heat of many controversies lately, including pushing for criminal charges against journalists. The Sierra Leonean social media community exploded over the weekend, with widespread condemnation of her anti-press freedom agenda. Many APC partisans are also condemning Ms. Blydens activities, stressing that she was giving the government a bad name. The SEA has recently been in running battles with the media and colleagues in government, including the Vice President, Alhaji Samuel Sam-Sumana. Concord Times understands the President is angered by Ms. Blydens attitudes and believes she is causing a distraction.
