Cross posting for a local rescue group! This is a great boxer mix male who is looking for a new home! I am sending you this plea as Apache really needs help. Apache is a box mix and was adopted in late June 2014 from Paws and Purrs. The owners want to return him as their dog is not adjusting to having another dog in the home. Paws and Purrs has no dog fosters and for those that dont know we will be closing by the end of the year. We cannot take this dog back so I am sending this plea for help finding him another rescue, foster home or forever home. Apache is 3yrs old and up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines. He is neutered, micro chipped, house trained, crate trained (doesnt like being crated), loves other dogs (especially females), does ok with cats but would do better without. He was fostered with a chihuahua and several cats without issues. He did fine in the home with 1 yr old per the family. Apache has passed basic obedience and is treadmill trained. He does need regular exercise, but is no longer the extreme energy he was originally. He walks well on leash, but can definitely use more work in all the training areas. He is loveable, sweet and of course smart! If we cant find another rescue to take him the family will be taking him to Lollypop farm. We need something in place by August 5th or close to it to prevent this from happening. If anyone can help Apache please let me know.
