Crying - I know so many of us who have been crying lately. Yet, it appears that each one of us do not want anyone to know we are crying. Are we afraid of appearing weak? This is what I thought while on a walk with Ellie and Willow this morning. Reasons we cry: - Pain, physical or emotional. It does not matter, pain is pain. You do not have to see it to feel it - Fear, results of pain or the unknown. What will happen next? How will I manage this? What do I do to make this go away? How do others see me? - Justification, you now know the source if this pain. You have proof you were not imagining it. - realization, you have just realized there is something that can help you. Anything from a simple bandage to counselling - there will always be some help available. And Finally - Relief, just knowing there pain is real, there is a source, there is something that can be done about it Its okay to cry, for all the reasons I have just listed. Crying does not make you weak. It is a strength. It is a release of emotions that can cripple you or hold you back from doing what you need to do to become better. And so my friends, if you need to cry, just do it. Let the tears roll down your cheeks and wash those emotions so that you can start to heal. NEVER worry about being weak, show everyone how strong you are. And begin to heal from the inside out
