Cuauhtemoc Tall Ship Visits Vancouver The Consulate General of Mexico is pleased to announce that “Cuauhtemoc” will be moored at Burrard Dry Dock Pier at Wallace Mews Road, North Vancouver on September 2nd, at 10am. Coming from Seattle, Washington, and having sailed 12,748 nautical miles since her departure from Acapulco last April, the tall ship will make a spectacular entrance to the harbour with sailors standing on the rigs and displaying their sailing abilities. The Cuauhtemoc has been the naval training vessel for the Mexican Navy since 1982, and it will be the third time that it will visit Vancouver. Join us and visit one of the most beautiful ships in the world, a goodwill Ambassador of the Mexican Navy. This year, Mexico and Canada celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations. This Tuesday, her Majestys Canadian Ship Oriole will escort the Cuauhtemoc through the harbour as a sign of friendship between our two nations. The ship’s deck will be open for viewing to the public on: • September 2nd from 2pm to 8pm • September 3rd from 10am to 4pm • September 4th from 10am to 8pm Information about Mexico Fest 2014 mexicofest.ca/vancouver For further information please contact The Consulate General of Mexico in Vancouver at pdelamaza@consulmexvan
