Whilst millions of Fellow Sierra Leoneans are suffering and dying from Ebola in Kenema and around the country, which led to the cancelation of all Christmas and New Years gethering and celebrations around Sierra Leone by His Excellency the President Ernest Bai Koroma (due to the State of Emergency imposed as a means to help curb the flow of Ebola)! Members of the Ebola Task Force in Kenema were celebrating and having fun though a flamboyant party they organised in breach of the State Emergency Ebola Laws. How come those who are suppose to be enforcing the State of Emergency Ebola Laws, are the same ones that are breaking in? Are they going to face the full penalty of the laws they break? If, the alleged breach was committed by civilians of Kenema District, are they going to be allow to walk free / they could have faced the Ebola Emergency Laws? If we could as recalled, few Sierra Leoneans living in that part of the country were arrested and detained for breaching the Ebola Emergency Laws. SHOCKING NEWS.... PRESIDENTIAL ORDER BREACHED IN KENEMA...BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR TASKFORCE MEMBER I write this piece with a bleeding heart sequel to what I saw tonight along Hangha Road in kenema where a member of kenema Ebola task forced had her birthday party against the presidential order that bans public gathering. What appears more frustrating was that as the bulk of mankind in kenema continue to suffer few others who are to enforce the presidential order like the ebol task force members ,the police and other stakeholders gathered to merry while other Sierra Leoneans continue to die. Major stakeholders in kenema to the surprise of many attended the party tonight. The Battalion commander 4th infantry kenema Musa Bangura had to lead some of his men to the scene only to discover over hundred people in the Tulane lodge compound merry making and dancing to loud music. Many had to escape by climbing the fence and some being alleged mal handled by military officers. Unpatriotism and disrespect for the orders of the president took grounds when the Task force including Bunting Grading head of ONS and also chairman of the Task force ,Augustine Sannoh of Civil society and head of logistics, Sam Yaja of the human right commission and more pleaded with the lieutenant colnnel Musa Bangura to go against President Koromas order and allow the people to go home without facing the law. Bunting Grading who is chairman of the Taskforce Augustine Sannoh,Sam Yaja and AIG Karrow kamara in my presence led the plead to go against the presidential order and not to make any arrest. The frustrated military boss left the scene without making a single arrest as all those who were to help him enforce the law turned to beg him to tamper justice with mercy. Lieutenant col. Musa in a very furious manner ordered his men to leave the compound and not to arrest anybody. The question many are now asking are why people who should enforce the emergency regulation should behave contrary when we continue to loose valuable lives ,why the police did not make any arrest, what if it was a poor man or a non influencial person in the society ? It has come out clear now that the presidential order and the emergency regulations are selectively implemented in kenema by the police ,the military,and the taskforce. Report reaching me as I write this piece states that order was received from by the police from a high profile personality to go to the compound and put situation under control not to make any arrest ,warn people to go to their respective homes.
