Culmination is done for Broadway Bootcamp. Its been an intense two weeks. 14 hour days, with breaks only for meals. I havent had time to think much about the outside world, all Ive had time to do is dive into my art, eat, and sleep. We had a performance with Susan Egan, who originated the role of Belle. It was an amazing opportunity to be able to sing along side her. I was very humbled to be selected to be featured in a Judy Garland medley. Its been very fulfilling to have an environment where nothing else matters but theatre. I also appreciated the focus on process and honesty. I feel myself allowing my heart to be worn on my sleeve while I perform now, I dont want to hide anymore. I want to share and personalize my work so it can be my own, because my personal experience breathes life into the piece to make it become alive. Im so happy and excited to see how my acting will improve with these new tools Ive attained from so many wonderful inspiring instructors and students. I know this is only a milestone and there is more to come :)
