Robertson St, suite 105 New Orleans, Louisiana 70117 p: 504 316 3474 e: themayspace@gmail Contact: Keene Kopper, Artistic Director, May gallery & residency The Cultural Artifact Exchange program is run in partnership with May gallery & residency in New Orleans, Loyola University, and ECV Aix-en-Provence, France (École de Communication Visuelle). Professors Emilie Lamy (ECV) and Daniella Marx (Loyola) have developed a cultural artifact exchange and publishing program in which students from the two schools graphic design programs compile packages containing magazines, books, music, website links and other cultural materials to be shared with their overseas peers. The packages are then sent to the partnering school. After receiving the penpal packages, the students then organize and index the various artifacts to design and produce printed catalogues of the exchanged cultural materials! Join us at May gallery & residency for the launch party of Loyola and ECVs Cultural Artifact Exchange catalogues! The catalogues will be on display for one night, November 27th, from 7 to 9pm.
