Cultured Lemonade 16 oz. organic lemon juice (not fresh lemons it wont work) 1 cup honey 2 packets Kefir starter (from Body Ecology) Filtered water In gallon size container, combine honey, lemon juice, and kefir packets. Whisk together until honey is dissolved in the liquid. Fill the container full with filtered water and let stand on counter, covered (lid), for 10-14 days. Retain 1 C of fermented lemonade to use as a transfer for more batches. (I keep the cloudy stuff at the bottom of a few jars for this purpose.) Just add honey and lemon juice and fill the container with filtered water (gallon). Usually good for 6-7 transfers. In warm weather it can be put outside in sun for two days. Smaller jars make fizzy lemonade. Enjoy!
