Cunliffe: ...I would reserve the right for a future Parliament to address issues of gambling harm. What exactly does that mean Sir? Does it mean your going to trash contract law in Auckland under the lash of Turei? Does it mean your going to reduce Aucklands tourist magnet Sky City to a lifeless monolithic concrete museum piece; stuck in a 1984-1989 time warp? Does this statement bet a dollar each way at Aucklands expense? Are you actually anti-Sky City deep down like your Green Party coalition partners? Have you subscribed to the problem gambling bleeding hearts club that blame Aucklanders for their own personal addictions; are we at fault? What is your financial plan to help Aucklands community and sports organisations who rely on the present gaming revenue; who have been alive a lot longer than you and I? You know what. I think this double dutch your talking hides the reality of your predicament of being held hostage by a mindless and dopey Greens Party leadership; themselves living in their Values Party past. I think if anyone is telling porkies, its you to your Party membership, trying to pretend that you will or have the power or will be in the position to call the shots on this one. You dont. Deal is done. Focus on the problem gamblers. Instead of blowing $9 million dollars on your mates political stunt you could build some rehabs for them. Or is this PR referendum all about a desperate response from a desperate Green Party co-leader when he realised that Shearer and Parker fooled him into thinking that he would be the next Minister of Finance. I think so. What a pack of absolute rabble rousers you are, confusing and lying to the general public; just like in the old Labour Party rogernomic and helengrad eras. Nor has your rampage over our democracy ended as you both plot to split the Maori vote in the Maori electorates. The irony of it all, is that you find yourself in a compromising bind Sir, that advantages the Green Party and prevents you from talking like a real Prime Minister. Because if you dare to think you can ride rough shot over contract law and Sky City international, and send that message to the world including negating New Zealands ability to attract new member countries to our trade agreements, then you would have succeeded in turning New Zealand into a red communist peasant country. You got a lot to think about Comrade before you start slagging off to people you may well be dealing with in the future. The way your talking double dutch is going to get you nowhere Mr Cunliffe. Can you do Auckland a favour? Can you act like a Prime Minister-in-waiting and have a chat to your wayward mate, Len Brown, and get him to resign so we Aucklanders can get some honest people into the top office? Are you to it or are you out of it like your shrilling be mates Norman and Turei? Get a grip and sort out your priorities in this city, and especially with Aucklands icon and symbol of wealth and prosperity as Aucklanders need leadership in the 21st century not a double dutch rehash of the failed Third Way scam; we dont need to be lied to anymore my 1465.
