Cuomo just back peddled after seeing the sheer numbers of refusals and now says the tests dont count for anything. The state has put us into quite the position of choosing between the schools and the welfare of our children. Parents will always put their kids first. New York has shown that Today. And now after todays massive opt outs, the state is fumbling. Yet, they couldnt find it in their cold hearts to cancel the remainder of testing for this year until these issues are fixed. So, the kids still have numerous painstaking hours of tests and often sit and stare abusive conditions ahead, and theyre all now completely meaningless. This is the essence of common core. One thing these tests have done is awaken so many to why we are fighting this. This federal take over of education as designed by bill gates and big business cannot work. Its NOT higher standards. Its inappropriate standards designed not by teachers, but by billionaires who stand to gain financially, such as Gates, Pearson etc. theyre creating the toxic environment you all witnessed today. The opt out movement has personified the ogre that is common core. Educate your friends to fight this. This is not the end. Its simply the beginning.
