Curriculum Fair Tonight! This is where Home-Schoolers shop! Books and pencils and books and science projects and books and courses and books and preserved specimens and books and maps and did I mention they also have books?!? Boys are 10 and 12 and we already have their Math up through Calculus, English through 10th grade and just got Science through 9th. And have I ever told you the story (more than once) about how one of our first dates Nancy and I spent over three hours browsing through P&S School Supplies. It was fantastic! A match made in…well…the teacher’s lounge! The boys are versatile, depending on how they want to cast this. To other kids, they LOVE being home-schooled, no bullies, the schedule is flexible, the teacher is always right there, and they can get a snack whenever they want. To grown-ups, they HATE home-schooling, because they never get a summer break or weekends off (we do stuff on Saturdays), no TV until the work is done, and the teacher is always right there. (Did you catch that?) When Johnathan is REALLY naughty, I can threaten him by saying if he doesn’t behave I’ll put him in a public school, you know, with those gubment kids. He’s pretty sure I’d never just hand him over to the socialist indoctrination prison system, but he still straightens up pretty fast. Anyway, fun, fun, fun tonight and tomorrow. We’ve picked out the seminars we want, with shopping in between times. PARRRR-TY!!!
