Cyberabad traffic cop suspended for attacking an Auto carrying Ganesh idol Cyberabad commissioner C.V. Anand on Thursday suspended a traffic police constable M. Pradeep Kumar after he broke the windscreen of an autorickshaw injuring its driver. A group of youngsters was transporting a Ganesh idol in an autorickshaw from Dhoolpet on Thursday and accidentally jumped the signal near Vivekanandanagar. On duty constable Pradeep Kumar, in a fit of rage, flung his helmet at the autorickshaw breaking the windscreen and injuring its driver. The youngsters protested against the constable and higher officials had to intervene. Mr Anand suspended the constable based on CCTV footage. Increasing incidents of the highhandedness of traffic police have come to light in recent times. Mr Anand has already suspended two traffic cops in the last two weeks.
