Cycling, skate boarding, skating, jogging, or strolling at a shared public facility should be a pleasant and safe experience for all. Users of such places should take note that responsibility, consideration, and safety should always be priority. ** Pedestrians should always keep a lookout for themselves and their children. adopt Situational Awareness at all times because not everyone pays attention to your kids movement and sudden exuberance. Your kids are your own responsibility. And get used to handling them yourself because your helpers are not their parents. You are your kids responsible parent. Dont expect others to be your free part-time child minder in public places. And dont act defensive when others chide your kids. Also stop acting stupid when something serious happens. You are now a parent. Not a ignorant teenager. Wake up and be alert. ** Beginner skaters, skate boarders, and cyclist should always stay to the extreme edge of the public roads or tracks and avoid stopping in the centre of the lane to do your personal stuff. Always give space to the experienced and faster users. Have consideration because you are expected to take care of your own safety. Dont expect others to discipline you. Learn self respect and others would accord the same to you. ** Cyclist should take note that you are expected to know road etiquette and courtesy. Do your stunts in proper places. Not where there are people around. Do your Tour De France high speed chase in places where there is little human traffic or Human-powered wheeled vehicles around. And mind your uncultured mouth if you do not have a bell or horn to warn others when you are approaching near other track users. If you cannot afford to have a bell installed, ask your parents or your kind friends or colleagues to buy you one. And learn your bloody hand signals because you do not want to be a disgrace to your TDF community that you know nothing about cycling etiquette besides being able to afford a four or five figure sum bicycle. You being the more experienced rider should set the example of good riding habits and keep a look out for the novice and dangerous and irresponsible track users. ** When you can take care of yourself and or your child in a responsible manner. Using a shared or public place would definitely be a nice experience. Have a good day.
