Cyndi Lauper is one of my all time favorite artists - say what you will about her - she is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. Although most of you know her for her long string of hits in the 80s, this song from 1996 has always stood out as one of my favorites by her. At the time of this songs release, I was kind of torn between religions - I didnt know what to believe in - if there was anything to believe in at all. I feel this song kind of touches on that...you can spend your whole life following something to find out it has led you nowhere. Find yourself, be yourself, and youll know where you belong.
