The journalist remembered the publication of Fear behind us all - article collection (about Estonian recent past) in 2009 which I edited with Imbi Paju. The launch was a strange event, not only because United Russia-party gave a press release about the book (couldnt have read it, it was just coming out) and the message was from the same textbook they have been using in Ukrainian crises. Demonstrators (from Nasi, the Putinist youth organisation) came from Russia, and it was quite obvious that they didnt actually know against what they were rallying, but demonstrate they wanted and slogans they had. Naturally the Russian TV was on the spot as well. I guess it was a sort of dress rehearsal for projects to come. It was the first time Russia wanted to intervene the publishing politics of another country, independent state and a member of EU. Contributors of the book included names like Russian dissident Vladimir Bukovski, president of Estonia Toomas Henrik Ilves, Anne Applebaum and many Estonian researchers like Ivo Juurvee.
