Céimithe daor, a number of people have reported difficulty - TopicsExpress

Céimithe daor, a number of people have reported difficulty accessing my photo album of the 2014 BAVA Degree Show Opening. Anyone who has not received a link to the photo gallery, hosted by Picasa/Google Plus, is in all probability not in my gmail contacts. That being the case, if you email me at edwincridland@gmail you will be automatically added to my contacts and then you will receive the link and will be notified by robot whenever more photos are added. Failing that the following is a direct link to the page although there will be no robotic notifications: https://picasaweb.google/106426550313221288424/BAVASherkinDegreeShowSkibb2014?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCNuGlum997zj4gE&feat=directlink Well isnt it great to have it over with and congratulations to all of you graduates who have excelled. You may be aware that I am, myself, set fair to collect both the Bottom of Class and the Worst Scholar Awards. This is, of course, a different kind of excellence and well deserved I think, certainly achieved with some considerable effort! I do not anticipate that anyone will wish, even in the unlikely event that they are in a position, to challenge the Titles although if anyone is desperate enough to want to, may I suggest, in the spirit of communality, applying for the prestigious Dunces Cap instead - I will not be entering on this occasion. Anyway, so I have been researching these prizes in the Official Commitee Approved Student Handbook and have discovered that they both consist mainly of large quantities of porter, sufficient for a full blow-out in official terminology and also that, graduates who have attained Firsts, might reasonably be expected to contribute drops if not glasses of brandy in addition to the aforementioned pints of porter. Additionally, psychotropic substances may be substituted at the discretion of the prizewinner and donors although the Awarding Body waives all responsibility for the possible consequences of this course of action. I think it best to draw your collective attention to this matter at once since you may well have overlooked it due to the stress engendered by striving so hard during the last semester. The Prize-giving will coincide, conveniently, with the Graduation Ceremony in September. See you all then. Sin abhaile, Edwin
