Woodplus Vietnam Intern/Volunteer - Furniture Designer Woodplus Vietnam is a company based in Hanoi, which specializes in customized furniture and interior decoration accessories in a modern-classical and timeless design with straight lines as a dominant design feature. Our core competence is in development, production and sales of high quality furniture with modern design to satisfy the need of our clients for each unique product. Environmental friendly and legal sourced raw materials are a mayor concern for our production. Well trained personnel is a key success factor for our business. For this we invest in the qualification of our staff and we see the human resource development is as important as up to date technology. Being a client of us you can count with a professional team of designers, carpenters and wood engineers. The cooperation with our international partners allow us to offer our customers the state of the art in furniture design, production management and materials composition. We are having a 3 month program to train students/newly graduates from interior decoration departments from related universities in designing customized furniture and interior decoration accessories in a modern design following European style. Duties: • Integration of the customer into the design and planning process • Guiding the customer through the product design • Completion of the "customer product" and configuration of variants • Complete 3-D-Visualization (Sketches, hand drawing, by software) • Work with other relevant staff to prepare quotations for customers and work orders for production • Prepare part lists and materials used for products designed before sending them to production • Develop promotional materials (leaflets, brochures, name cards, logo) for the company • Assist in the development and execution of sales and marketing activities. Knowledge and Qualification: • University degree or student in design or related subject • Knowledge in architect/ interior design, furniture production, product development, marketing or related field • Basic knowledge of production management and on applications of solid wood, wooden based panels, modular systems and fittings would be an advantage • Knowledge in developing, implementing and monitoring marketing strategies & sales is an asset Benefits: • Professional working and learning environment • Successful candidate after working as a volunteer/an intern will be recruited as a full time designer and work directly with Germany colleagues in furniture design and production.
