D1NZ ROUND 2 - RECAP Unfortunately we were troubled with car issues once again at Mt Smart, we blew numerous frost plugs from the motor resulting in the car loosing all of its water and over heating, the team managed to get the motor stripped down and replace what was required before qualifying, we were lucky enough to be able to get a test lap in, in which we found still to have a problem, which we believed the head was lifting. We were lucky enough to have numerous Pro-am drivers offer their cars to us to qualify in and progress into the battles. We chose to run with Benjwilkie Drift S13, we managed to bag a qualifying score after we missed out first run. Our Top 32 battle was against Team DMNZ Jodie Verhulst where unfortunately we lost from our chase run due to straight lining caused by the car hitting boost cut, which was caused by a simple black off bung coming out of a vacuum line. We have a bit of work to do before we take on Red Bull #DRIFTSHIFTERS on the 6th of December, we currently have the motor out of the S15, which is getting getting a full rebuild and a few other changes made before it heads back down to Ross at DDT to get run in and a new tune, A massive Thank you to Ben for lending us his S13 so we could at least get some qualifying points for the round, a massive thanks to all of the supporters that made an effort to come and show their support, and all of our sponsors!
