#DAI 13/14 BPL predictions; LEAGUE TABLE; 1. Chelsea 2. Manchester United 3. Manchester City 4. Arsenal ____________________ 5. Tottenham Hotspur ____________________ 6. Liverpool 7. Everton 8. Swansea City 9. West Ham United 10. Southampton 11. West Bromwich Albion 12. Norwich City 13. Newcastle United 14. Fulham 15. Aston Villa 16. Sunderland 17. Crystal Palace ____________________ 18. Cardiff City 19. Hull City 20. Stoke City Winners:- I believe Chelsea will win the league this year. They had a rather patchy season last term due to the sacking and interim appointment of Roberto Di Matteo and Rafael Benitez respectively. However, the "special" one is back in town and Jose Mourinho will be keen to blueprint the success he brought to Chelsea during his first spell in charge. UEFA CL 2nd, 3rd and 4th:- I think it goes without saying regardless of who is in charge at Manchester United they are always going to challenge for the league title. However after being under the reigns of Alex Ferguson for so long I think they will come upshort in there first transitional season under the realm of David Moyes. Another club who face the challenge of life with a change in manager is Manchester City who I believe will finish 3rd. After the abrupt sacking of Roberto Mancini, the Eastlands club have turned there attention to Manuel Pellegrini. It is expected that more new signings will arrive at The Etihad along with Fernandihno and Jesus Navas. A huge blow was dealt in the shape of Isco moving to Real Madrid. And the last club to fill the Top 4 I believe will be Arsenal. Arsene Wenger has been the subject to high masses of scrutiny in recent years with his failure to land a trophy. However huge appraisal has to be awarded with his amazing ability to always finish in the top 4 despite losing out on key players, year in year out. There has been a shedload of rumours suggesting they are after a top quality forward this year, and a move for Gonzalo Higuain has been on the verge of completion for what seems like forever. If Arsenal can land Higuain, expect goals-a-plenty. EUROPA LEAGUE 5th:- I believe Spurs will engage 5th spot and the promise of Europa League football. Gareth Bale remaining at White Hart Lane will be crucial to Spurs this upcoming season, but despite all rumours I think he will stay put for atleast another season. However I think this could slump negativity on Spurs despite the undoubted class of Bale. Last term, Tottenham were very one man orientated and when Bale performed poor, the whole team did. Players like Dembele, Dempsey and Sigurdsson were almost passengers as they lurked in the shadow of Bale and they were almost forced to play a lesser role in regards to the roles played at there previous clubs. A proven goalscorer upfront is a must, and they must look in the opposition directions of Leandro Damiao and David Villa who have chosen to join Southampton and Atletico Madrid respectively. Team I support - Liverpool 6th:- Liverpool had a relatively good debut season under the reign of Brendan Rodgers but I still think they will fall marginally unstuck in terms of European qualification. The sale of Luis Suarez is looking increasingly likely has he has stated on numerous occasions his desire to leave to play Championsleague football. Liverpool have acted swiftly so far in the Transfer market, with the arrivals of Simon Mignolet, Kolo Toure, Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto, along with the departures of Andy Carroll and Jonjo Shelvey. More names are expected to arrive at Anfield, especially if Luis Suarez does gradually exit. Our transfer plans were dealt a huge blow of disappointment as Henrikh Mkhitaryan decided to join Borussua Dortmund. Rivals - Everton 7th:- Everton enjoyed a lavishing season last term and managed to finished above Liverpool. The exit and appointment of David Moyes and Roberto Martinez respectively is a huge change for a club who had so much stabilty under there previous throne sitter. Martinez however is renowned for his creative and attacking style of Football and this I am sure will excite all the blue side of Merseyside. I think it is essential they keep Leighton Baines and Maroanne Fellaini who are subject to lots of rumours linking them with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal respectively. I think 7th in a maiden season under Martinez would be thought as a success by everton fans. Relegation:- I think 2 of the 3 teams to be relegated will be promotion new boys Cardiff City and Hull City. I also think Stoke City will be relegated. #DAI
