< DAILY BIBLE STUDY – THIS IS MY COMFORT IN MY AFFLICTION “This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.” {Study - Psalms 119:50 KJV)}. The word “Comfort” is scattered all through the KJV Bible, as well as it should be, because there are times when all of us need it. Especially when we are sick or a loved one dies. Recently a seventy-four-year-old sister to my wife named Edna sent me a note from Bristol, Virginia, where she lived (she has passed away know). “Here’s something I found on a tombstone in a cemetery,” she writes: SPRING WILL COME AGAIN TO THE VALLEY, FLOWERS WILL GROW ON THE MOUNTAINS, AND THE SHEPHERD WILL RETURN FOR HIS SHEEP. Just twenty-one words, we don’t know who wrote them. But it seems to me that there is an enormous comfort in them. My wife’s sister recognized this, and passed them along to me. So now The Circuit Rider is passing them along to you. Lord, teach us to comfort the afflicted in any way we can. In Jesus name we pray. Amen THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS - THE CIRCUIT RIDER
