DAILY CELEBRATION OF CHRIST, 2nd Sunday of Advent, December 7, 2014 DIVINE BREAKFAST, (First Reading: Isaiah 40:1-5. 9-11) Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lords hand double for all her sins Behold your God comes with might, and his arm rules for him. He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his alms... o Child of God, the Lord God has come to consol you. o Your sleepless nights have come to an end! o Your pains and your sorrows have come to an end. o Your warfare and your period of suffering have come to an end. o you will never be sorrowful again! o God has cancelled all your debts, your iniquity is pardoned o Soon and very soon, God will visit you with His might o and it shall be well with you, in Jesus name! DIVINE LAUNCH (Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 85) Let us see O Lord, your mercy and grant us your salvation. Gods salvation is near for those who fear him, and his glory will dwell in our land o Child of God, you will see the mercy of God. o God will grant you His salvation o as long as you have the fear of God, His salvation is guaranteed. o Gods glory will dwell in your land. o Your land shall yield its increase, in Jesus name - Amen! DIVINE SUPPER (Second Reading: 2 Peter 3:8-14) With the Lord, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow with his promise but is forbearance towards you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. We await for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. o A day in Gods house is better than a thousand days elsewhere. o Child of God, the Lord will not delay in granting your heart desire. o God does not want you to perish. He does not even have pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 18:32). o Our God wants you to repent and live! o Child of God, there is still hope for you. If you repent today, God will still accept you back. o Be zealous therefore and do not allow anything to stain you. o May the peace of Christ remain with you, both now and forevermore - Amen! Celebration of Christ (Gospel Reading: Mark 1:1-8) Behold I send my messenger before your face, who shall prepare your way... Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. John said, After me comes he who is mightier than I, the throng of whose sandals I m not worthy to stoop down and untie. I have baptize you with water; but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit. o Child of God, the Lord will send his messenger before you. o Your Guardian angel will never depart from you o As you prepare the way of the Lord, your own ways will be made straight. o Child of God, you are serving a mighty God! A great warrior!! The lion of the tribe of Judah!!! o The Lord God will not just baptize you with water o He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit. o and you will be filled with the anointing of God, forever and ever - Amen!
