DAILY GOD MESSAGE: TRUEST FORM OF WORSHIP 1 Chronicles 13:10 New American Standard Bible The anger of the LORD burned against Uzza, so He struck him down because he put out his hand to the ark; and he died there before God. → the background... when David become a King , his first mission is to take back the Ark of the covenant back to Israel that departed for almost 40years to Israel. as we know David is a worshiper king. and He also knows that the Ark symbolize the glory of Israel. now the problem is David wants to worship God by its own TERMS and WAYS by carrying the ark by a cow which is not possible and it is not according to the law which the levites must the only one that God allowed to carry the Ark of the covenant. DR. Charles Stanely once said that he believed that most Christians in most churches have never worshiped God. We go to church, but we don’t worship. We sing songs, but we don’t worship. We listen to sermons, but we don’t worship. All of these things are elements of worship but they are not worship in and of themselves which means that you can do all of them and yet have failed to truly worship God. We Christians often mistake the means of worship for worship itself. and worship God by our terms and ways... “Christians don’t tell lies – they just go to church and sing them.” - A. W. Tozer When first I heard the quote from A. W. Tozer I smiled because it’s true. It’s not that Christians don’t ever lie, but the point is that they sing lies. Now, I must be a little more forgiving. The definition of “to lie” is “a false statement deliberately presented as being true.” as Charles Swindoll quotes God will not allow anyone to violate HIS holiness much more in worship. even we have good intention like Uzzah. His intention is good but it is not enough. as the Scriptures also said WORSHIP GOD in SPIRIT and in TRUTH. Conclusion: the truest form of worship must be Biblical... we worship God by His ways and term not ours. and how this is possible? with all our hearts and strength, w/o pretension, w/o hypocrisy, w/o condition and w/o lies in our heart. average worshiper are contender to worship God in their terms and ways they called sunday christian, seasonal christian, luke warm christian. but Christian who worship God day to day refuse to be an average worshiper they let their heart full of worship and their lives dedicated tow worship God. so meaning true worship is a biblical way of worship they worship God by Gods way and Gods terms.
