DAILY RELEASE BY THE UNION OCTOBER 8, 2014 ON SPEAKER AND THE CLERK OF THE COUNTY ASSEMBLY OF EMBU The Union has received unusual reports that the two Embu Principals (Kariuki Mate and Jim Kauma) would now sue the Judges of the High Court benches of Kerugoya to the Supreme Court. Due to insufficiency of information, the Union is not able to determine the validity of the legal action and its implications to both the two Embu officials and the Judges. However, the normal legal procedure is that the two may not be able to sue the Court or petition to a higher Jurisdiction until their case has been determined by a ruling and the case is brought to finality. If the two will be found guilty, they would be sentenced according to the law. If the two are not found guilty by the law, they would be released by the courts. It is therefore anticipated that, the two principal would not sue the Judges at the time when they are attending a court hearing until their case has been determined and a ruling is given. This would then given them a sure ground by the laws of Kenya to make appeal to the Court of Appeal and not to the Supreme Courts. The lawyers are expected to guide the two Embu principals on the knowledge of the Law to avoid a contempt of court duplication at the time of the hearing. TUOMBE
