DAMN R.I.P. MAYA ANGELOU if only you knew how this woman inspired and encouraged Me through My teen years, trauma and abuse. After reading I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings and her other literary works gave Me strength and hope that like her, I would rise above. partially because of the strength I gained through her words... STILL I RISE... daily. Im going to record some of her pieces in the next two weeks. I used to perform them in school.... My heart is heavy.
