Dana Corporation is seeking to fill Engineering Co-op positions in the Maumee, OH Headquarters for the Summer, Fall, and Winter terms. The following departments may be available: • Applications • Materials • Test • Product • Advanced Chassis Control Systems • Mechatronics • Gear Primary Job Responsibilities: The main responsibility of this position will be to assist in the completion of many Engineering projects. Other duties may include, but are not limited to the following: • Collect data for several Value Added/Value Engineering projects. • Process development & documentation of manufacturing work instructions. • Assist and test the development of new operator friendly tooling designs/capabilities. • Assist in the design, development, simulation & modeling, and software of electrical, electronic, control, and mechanical systems. • Perform research, design & development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly method & production equipment. • Design, assemble, test and analyze specified products to meet various customer performance requirements. • Write and present reports on all active projects • Assist production, domestic and international affiliates with manufacturing issues as required. • Interface with other disciplines including: product engineering, design, testing & development, manufacturing. • Visit assembly and machining plants to learn about manufacturing procedures and cost savings opportunities. • Record and collect test data. • Uphold the divisional mission and quality statement. • All other duties as directed by management. Requirements: Highschool Diploma • Enrollment in an Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Metallurgical, Software, or Systems Engineering program. • Proven work experience (not necessarily technical work experience). • Experience with Manufacturing or Assembly a plus. • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft Office and Outlook. • Excellent electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical aptitude. • Must be capable of performing duties with limited supervision. • Excellent interpersonal skills to permit effective interaction with all levels of Dana and external customers. • Self-directed and motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and accepts responsibility.
