• DANCE EXTREME CHALLENGE 2014 • MODERN DANCE COMPETITION • Oct. 20, 2014 (Monday), 7:00 PM • New Municipal Hall, Activity Area, Calaca, Batangas • MECHANICS: 1. Each group will perform a dance number with a TIME LIMIT of 5 MINUTES. Beyond this limit, a total of 5 points will be deducted from the groups total score. 2. Each group will have a minimum of EIGHT (8) Members. 3. The members of the groups maybe composed of all males or females, or any combination thereof. 4. The dance number must have an accompaniment of any music, which is modern and lively. 5. Folk dances or accompaniment of folk music is NOT ALLOWED. 6. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible material as props is not allowed. 7. The criteria for judging are the following: • Choreography (Creativity, Artistry, Style & Originality) - 50% • Execution (Timing & Coordination, Projection & Expression) - 30% • Costume - 10% • Audience Impact - 10% 8. The decision of the members of the board of judges is final & irrevocable. 9. Prizes for the completion shall be as follows: • 1st Prize - PhP 20,000.00 • 2nd Prize - PhP 15,000.00 • 3rd Prize - PhP 10,000.00 10. There shall be a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 competing groups for the contest. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS WILL BE OBSERVED. 11.
