DANCES The most popular dances I think were at the Kato a Ballroom. Among the bands and performers I remember seeing there were, Dick and Dee Dee, (I stepped on her foot and she limped onto stage) Paula and Paula, Conway Twitty, Lou Christy, Deon and the Belmonts? The Underbeats, The a Gestures of course, Gregory Dee and the Avantes (The Grind), The Trashmen (Still have the album, surfin bird,) South 40. Seems like there was a Minneapolis cover band who had local success recording, So Fine Then of course there were the Friday night dances at Loyola High School. (I lived for those) Being a Lutheran I thought catholic girls were exotic -Haha. Were those just records played or were there bands at Loyola - Im foggy. Last but not least, werent there dances at the National Gaurd Armory? Was that on third street?
