DARLINGTON Transport Operations Manager £25,000 per annum The Wicked Company urgently requires an enthusiastic Transport Operations Manager with extensive experience and a proven track record of providing outstanding quality of service. North East England based Wicked is a dynamic, fast growing company providing specialist transport, crew & production services to the live entertainment and events industry. Based in the North East we operate across the UK and Europe with all types of theatre productions, events, exhibitions, conferences, concerts and festivals. With over 10 years of experience, our expertise extends to all areas of the industry. Our ideal candidate must have extensive experience in transport, people, and site management. This post will suit you if you thrive whilst working in a fast paced, ever changing environment and are proficient at thinking on your feet. Your passion for managing logistics in an efficient manner will enable you to deliver the highest possible standards. As both a leader and a team player you will be excellent at communicating with people across all levels of the business, from junior staff to top clients. You will be at ease working flexibly within an informal environment, whilst implementing company policy and procedures. You will have an open and friendly approach with a can do’ attitude, and be enthusiastic about helping to develop the products and services of our fast growing company. A Transport Manager CPC qualification or HGV Driving Licence would be advantageous, though not essential. It is vital that you are willing to work flexibly, with an understanding of the business needs; this will include regularly working evenings and weekends, as well as periods of time on call. Personal transport is essential in order to access the company base 24 hours a day. This post is subject to a £25,000 salary. JOB DESCRIPTION To manage the transport and warehouse operations of the Company in an efficient and economical manner. To work in conjunction with, and in the absence of, the Transport Manager (TM) to ensure the legal compliance and enforcement of Company Policies and Procedures. To support the operational management of the additional services within the Company; including crew and production.
