DATELINE ST. CLOUD, FLORIDA. JULY 30,2014 INDECENT OUTCOME! TEAM EAGLES UPENDED: FINISH SECOND Team Eagles three week winning streak came to a screeching halt tonight at Crabby Bills Trivia with Robin May. The Eagles finished second to the upstart Team The Indecents who scored a solid 61 points, and the Stud Muffins finished a distant third, as expected. After the event, a surprisingly mellow Jack King said he was not really surprised with the outcome. The dissension on this team was the cause, I had a bad feeling about tonight, and unfortunately, it came to pass. King went on to say Even if we got the Green Eggs and Ham question correct, which would have given us a one point victory, we would not have been able to accept the trophy do to another score card scandal caused by Chris Baer and Charlene F. Kuhn. Last week Baer and Kuhn almost cost the Eagles a win by changing Cucumber to Sausage on the answer sheet. This weeks controversy came in the final round with the Closest to the pin Question How much did Ben and Jerry pay collectively for their course at Penn. State on Ice Cream Making? Chris Baer suggested $500.00. the other team members lead by Quentin Pray, decided that $50.00 will be submitted by the team. Robin May announced the correct answer was $5.00 and that Team Eagles had won the three points, which wasnt quite enough as the Eagles fell two points short of victory. Had it not been for Kings low class move to go over to Rebecca Mills of the Stud Muffins and gloat, Kuhns scorecard Mistake would have gone unnoticed. Mills asked King what the Eagles answered on the Closest to the Pin question. King said $50.00. The Stud Muffins then went into an uproar saying their answer of $19.95 should have won the points. King agreed and called out to May asking what answer the Eagles submitted. May said $5.00. King then asked to examine the scorecard, that is when King realized what had happened. Kuhn did not write $5.00, she wrote Baers answer of $500. The reason May thought it was $5.00 was there happened to be a mark on the paper between the 5 and the first zero which looked like a decimal point. leading May to believe the Eagles submitted $5.00 as the answer. So, in fairness to the Stud Muffins, the final score of 59 Eagles to 51 Stud Muffins will be adjusted to Eagles 56, Stud Muffins 54. The Eagles were still short handed playing without stars Gary Gammon, Janel Rinehart, Tara Tackett Hollis, and Sean Gascoine. Terry Udzinski Tackett and Martha Coleman and Bruce had to pick up the slack, but it wasnt enough for a win. King said Tara and Sean had good reasons for not being there, however he was disappointed in Rineharts lame excuse of Im not in the mood. King said I told her that if she came, I would get her In The Mood but Rinehart was a no show anyway. Kathleen Franklin called in from Tyler, Texas and said If Jack King offered to get ME in the mood, I would have been on the first flight to Orlando! What was Rinehart thinking? King is not optimistic about regaining the championship next week because It is Robins birthday and she will have lots of fun and surprises for all who attend. There will be a special prize for all that wear purple. So join us all at Crabby Bills trivia with Robin May, for Robins birthday at 7pm next Wednesday night August 6th. Come on out, its great fun! Even if you dont have a team, come on out, any of the teams will welcome you! See you then!
