DAUSI UNCOVERS MUTHARIKA ASSASSINATION PLOT; LINKS IT TO CHILIMA AND KASAMBARA Barely a month into his new job, National Intelligence Bureau Chief, Nicholas Dausi, has scored a point by uncovering a plan by lawyer Ralph Kasambara and Vice President, Saulos Chilima to get rid of State President Peter Mutharika before 2017. This shocking development is believed to be the reason behind Mutharikas hiring of new 30 additional private guards to his security detail last week. Chilima who has been friends with Kasambara for many years is said to have been building a base within DPP so as not to be pushed aside when Mutharikas successor is proposed in two years time. Reports within the DPP indicate that Mutharika wants to serve one term and has left everyone guessing on who might take over from him. However, some people are pushing for Bright Msaka to take the mantle, a thing that has made the Veep panic. On the other hand Bakili Muluzi is also discussing with Mutharika to consider leaving the slot to his son Atupele. We have established that three Saturdays ago, state agents managed to plant wires (recording microphones) in Chilimas official vehicles and his personal Mercedez Benz including his Area 12 residence, and this technology is what has led them to discover the strange plan. In one tapped conversation, Kasambara is heard advising Chilima on the need to move fast within the next two years before the party starts selling Msaka or Atupele in 2017. On Atupele, Chilima sounded not sure but still doubted the frequent closed meetings taking place between the President and Bakili Muluzi. And in another recording, Kasambara is heard complaining on how President Mutharika has failed to honor his pre-election promise to let him go free in his money laundering and Mphwiyo shooting cases. Coincidentally, Kasambaras cases have been moving at full speed for the past three weeks at the High Court in Lilongwe. The plan proposes the use of foreign mercenaries to eliminate the Malawi leader who is always referred to as ankolo in the recordings. On where the recorded discussion was taking place, an NIB agent told us that it might have been anywhere. Our tapping equipment placed in Chilimas cars can pick his conversations within a 30-metre radius from where his vehicle is parked Though details are still sketchy, two of the mercenaries are French and have been in the country as tourists and met Kasambara at one flamboyant beach Guest House in Salima. Meanwhile, the intelligence agency has rolled a 24/7 surveillance on Chilima by among other things tapping his phone, planting spies within his personnel both at the office and home. We have been told that two agents have been recruited as chefs at the Area 12 residence.
