DAVE’S CONTRACTING UPDATE: Members, The City Facilities Management have a contract to manage Coles and Liquorland outlets. Your union is preparing a national agreement with them to cover electricians and refrigeration mechanics across the country. The Plumbers Division is also organising an agreement for the plumbers that currently work for City FM. This is a national campaign and it presents a logistical challenge to engage all of the City FM workers across the country. Workers are spread far and wide as they look after a set number of retail outlets each. Each state will hold various meetings, either on site or after hours where organisers will talk directly to the workers in their prospective area and this is proving to be beneficial for all.
