DAY 2 **MATCH PREVIEW: Returning from a successful Day 1 event, the Football Crusade 2014 tournament delves deeper into a presumably highly action-packed second day of Group Stage matches. Here we go! Spring Is Coming! - Spring 13 vs Spring 14 (9.00am-9.45am) --------------------------------------------------- Nothing like a fresh fixture of a Spring head-to-head clash. After a draw in their first game, Spring 13 will be in it, to win it and ensure their qualification for the Quarter Final stage. Heres the tricky part though, they will have to do it against a virtually new and unknown team - Spring 14. No one saw them play before since obviously this is their first tournament and no one knows their strengths or weaknesses which Spring 14 will be happy to capitalize on! Spring 14 might just cause an upset and establish themselves as the emerging underdogs of the tournament just like Spring 13 did last term. This will definitely be an exciting fixture and the tide of the Group D table points might get a lot more interesting after the match! The Boiling Point - Spring 12 vs Summer 11 (9.55am-10.40am) ---------------------------------------------------- This, in my opinion, is potentially the match of the day. Spring 12 with a confident start to their campaign have one leg through to the Quarter Finals. They will love to keep this convincing momentum going as their expectation to be Group C Champions will be very high. But the hurdle Spring 12 will have to meet is a resilient Summer 11 outfit, a much tougher Summer opponent than their last. Summer 11, a team with a mixed pot of players and probably the best Summer team this term. Captain Lahul Ahmed will be more than eager to give Spring 12 a fair fight and pull off a difficult win. He will be looking to surf through his hard-hitting arsenal and introduce his opponents to his main weapon, as the whole Summer 11 team heavily relies on this player - Tonmoy Talukder. The ticking engine of the team has great passing ability that will allow him to exploit gaps here and there, which might be a concern for the Spring 12 defense. All in all, the match should be worth to watch. Summer 11 - Player To Watch: Tonmoy Talukder Strengths: Resilience and Relentless flank play ; Weakness: Stability in defense The Magnificent Se7en - Spring 11 vs Summer 12 (10.50am-11.35am) ----------------------------------------------------------- Coming back from their famous magnificent se7en victory in the first match, the confidence level of Spring 11 will be blowing in the wind as they eagerly await to entitle themselves as Group B Champs. But to complete the task up ahead, they will have to face a quirky Summer 12 team! Summer 12, often hailed as Sharon XII, has got an unpredictable blend of agile players. The captain though, Sharon Muhaimin, stands out from the rest as he likes to lead the way for his team by showing Size doesnt matter. With the ball on his feet, Sharon can razzle n dazzle his opponents with exquisite dribbling ability and also plays as the play-maker of the team. Will the dancing feet of Sharon and his Summer devils be able to dictate a dance of death for Spring 11? Summer 12 - Player To Watch: Sharon Muhaimin Strengths: Agility and Mobility ; Weakness: Physique The Bitter Awakening - Fall 11 vs Summer 13 (11.45am-12.30pm) ------------------------------------------------------ After a very disappointing display in their first game, the returning Runners Up from last term - Fall 11 will look to rise again! They have put themselves in a potentially do or die situation as anything less than a win will mistify their chances to progress into the Quarter Finals even more. The fact that makes the Fall 11 comeback journey EVEN TRICKIER is that they have to deal with an unknown outfit of unknown weakness and strengths as they are basically one of the three teams that are playing the Football Crusade tournament for the first time - Summer 13! It will be interesting to see if the passion of FALL 11 reignites once again in the right time OR FALL victim in the hands of a new-coming race of silent assassins - Summer 13!
