DAY 2 OF THE FIVE DAY CHALLENGE: 1. 1995,Approaching Storm, 33x72. A foreboding thunderstorm off the coast of Morro Bay. There are now clusters of houses where the foreground is. 2. 1998,Foxen Canyon, 48x72. This is on a back road between Los Olivos and Santa Maria. 3. 1999,Santa Clara River,40x60. This is one of the first paintings done from photos taken in my ultralight airplane, which could fly very low and slow. Im nominating my dear friend, excellent artist, and former colleague, Samantha Fields, who is the dynamo who more than replaced me at Cal. State Northridge when I retired in 2005.
