I feel at peace with the decision to go through with surgery tomorrow, but havent been able to focus on anything. I even forgot where I parked my car this morning. I wont be able to consume any calories for the next 60 hours, but even so, it has been difficult to eat anything today. My impending bariatric surgery has made me extremely aware of my stomach and the thought of food in it has been extremely unappetizing. I forced in one last steak for lunch and felt sick from it the rest of the day. I drank all my water requirements, washed with antibacterial soap, packed my hospital bag, and picked up my post-op meds. Nothing to do now but wait. Sigh. I am stopped at the crossroads, but feel very ready for the rest that comes with travelling the path. Tomorrow couldnt come fast enough. [seth]
