DAY#9 Happiness and Joy are FREE The high you get from buying that cool outfit or the latest tech gadget will only last so long, and then the new will fade away and so will the high. If you are truly content with yourself and happy, you wont me moved by this revelation, but if youre not as grounded as you think, youll be on the hunt for your next retail fix. Retail therapy is okay as long as you dont depend on such an escape for your peace, to fill a void or as a permanent fix. Its purely a band-aid, to get your mind off something temporarily that eventually you will need to face and deal with. True happiness, is an inner peace that comes from your gut. When all the material trappings are stripped away, and its just you and what really matters in your life, thats your true Zen. What must you have to be content with yourself? Sometimes just taking a moment away from the noise, and taking in a starlit sky, listening to the laughter of your children playing in the tub, or how a song moves your soul, is all the joy and happiness you could ask for- and it doesnt cost you anything but a moment to take it in. Other times a random act of kindness for a stranger can delight your soul in ways you never thought possible. Make it a habit of surprising yourself once a day with something that will bring you joy and happiness without opening your wallet. Peace & Blessings -JoAnne, ARMY MOM Quotes for Today: “It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy.
