DAY 9: March 18th 2014 – Power – Like in the Book of Acts. The Holy Spirit working through us everyday! • Many people think God wants to do miracles but are less confident that God will move through them to perform miracles. Today is a good day to reverse that kind of thinking. God wants to use you. Let me say that again.... YOOUUUU. Take time to meditate on this scripture. Read it slowly. John 14:12-14 “12 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” • Watch this video: youtube/watch?v=w_b2B15037U • Now, who in your life is depressed because of a crippling circumstance? It may be multiple people for avariety of different reasons. Think of those who are hopeless and discouraged. Make a mental list of family, friends and relatives that fit this description. Now, take courage... Are you willing to call them, ask how they are and ask to pray over the phone for their circumstance? Maybe you don’t feel like you will know how to articulate your prayers to God. Don’t worry...It’s simple. Ask the person over the phone what the most ideal end to their discomfort is. Whatever the say, no matter how impossible it might sound, ask for it in Jesus name! No matter what, make sure to encourage them and let them know they were in your thoughts and you care for them. • Later today, take time to move beyond yourself to the church. Take time to think of an issue you personally feel that the church collectively does a poor job at addressing. Try to pick something close to your heart. Now ask yourself, what would it look like if Jesus the miracle worker showed up into that situation. What would happen? Visualize what would he do? Pray for the release of God’s power to meet the needs in that situation. Ask for him to flow through the church that already intersects with that issue. Ask for people tied up in that issue to receive instantaneous miracle from God. If you know anyone affected by that issue mention them specifically in your prayers.
