DAY GOSPEL YEAR B - DAY 26/01 The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few - Luke 10: 1-9 At that time, 1 Lord chose another seventy-two disciples and sent them two by two, in front of the whole town and place where he himself was to go. 2 And he said to them, The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. So I asked the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. 3 Behold I send you as lambs among wolves. 4 Carry neither purse, no bag, no sandals, and not greeting to anyone along the way! 5 Whatever house you enter, first say, Peace to this house! 6 If there live a friend of peace, your peace will rest on him; if not, it shall turn to you. 7 Remain in that same house, eat and drink than they do, because the worker deserves his wages. No home passeis at home. 8 When you enter a town and go and welcomed, eat what you serve, 9 heal the sick that are therein, and say to the people: The kingdom of God is close to you. - Word of Salvation. - Glory to you, Lord. prayerful reading OPENING PRAYER I prepare for the prayerful reading, praying: Morning Prayer Good morning, Lord God and Father! To you, our gratitude for lifes Awakening, the heat that creates life, by the light which opens our eyes. We thank you for all that way our life, the land, by water, by air, by the people. Inspire us with your Holy Spirit the thoughts that we feed, the words we say, the gestures that we drive, communication we will accomplish. Bless the people we met, the food that we eat. Bless the steps that we give, the work that we do. Bless, O Lord, the decisions we make, the hope that we will promote peace that we sow, the faith that we will live, the love that we share. Help us, Lord, not to flee in the face of difficulties, but to embrace love the little crosses this day. We want to be with you, Lord, in the beginning, during and at the end of this day. Amen. Go. Patricia Silva, fsp 1- READING (TRUTH) What does the day of the text? I read the text carefully: Luke 10.1 to 12. Jesus Master organizes the disciples team. Has purpose, content, strategy and clear mission. Team: seventy-two disciples. Seventy (seventy-two) in the Jewish tradition meant the number of people in the world. The number seventy disciples of Jesus manifests the objective with respect to all humanity. The new People of God will involve all peoples of the earth. Objective: Attention to peoples lives (healing the sick) and proclaiming the Kingdom of God. Content: prepare the reception of the Lord (pre-mission). Strategy: prayer, stripping, to meet, to visit all the houses, starting with greeting of peace. Mission: harvesting. Ie form the new People of God. 2- MEDITATION (PATH) What the Word says to me? Respond to the calls and invitations of Jesus Master? Update the Word, linking it to my life. I joined the New People of God. I am also called / yy discipleship / a mission / a watchful / to the good of the people and the proclamation of the Kingdom. As the bishops said in Aparecida: . Knowing Jesus Christ by faith is our joy; follow him is a grace, and transmitting this treasure to others is a task that the Lord has entrusted us to call us and choose us (Dap 18). What is my commitment to the Church? My faith is dynamic, communicative. Sometimes I have my faith and dormant commitments, expressionless. 3- PRAYER (LIFE) What the Word leads me to say to God? Celebrate today, St. Timothy and Titus, Paul the Apostle employees. Prayer to pray Paul the Apostle in Brazil St. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, look with love for our country! Your heart dilated to welcome all the people in the kiss of peace. Now, in the sky, the light of Christs love to you enlighten all with the light of the Gospel and to establish in the world the Kingdom of love. Awaken vocations, comfort those who preach the gospel prepare people to welcome Christ, Divine Master. That our people are and always recognize Christ as the Way, the Truth and the Life; seek the Kingdom of God and work to perform, so that your light shine before the world.
