DAY ONE CATCH THE FIRE CONFERENCE 26 AUGUST 2013 VENUE: CITY SPORTS CENTRE, HARARE, ZIMBABWE PREACHER: APOSTLE ROBERT KAYANJA(UGANDA) READING: JOHN 1 :28 “John1:28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.” THEME: GOING BEYOND JORDAN -John and Jesus were cousins, chances are they looked alike, they played together, they shared clothes. I f you look of John you could see the similarities of Jesus yet John did not address him as a cousin - The older is always the leader by default, Jesus was the Lord but John was the leader, he was given the mandate to prepare the way. Often times those who lead always take the credit , John’s ministry was more successful than Jesus ministry, infact Jesus had no ministry - Beth- means house - ABARA- breakthrough/ confidence,/ passage - Jordan is a place of repentance, a place of death - You must go beyond just an anointing, just being called into a ministry, africa has to go beyond independence -I know you have confidence, I know you had a breakthrough but you must go beyond just a breakthrough - John addressed Jesus in his authority, not as a cousin. You need to stop looking at people and talk about what you know of them but what God say of them. As I look at you I see somebody who is going to be used of God to change the world for Jesus - We have to go beyond just speaking in tongues, it’s time we invade the hospitals and empty them - When you are a spiritual father get ready to have an inheritance to give your spiritual son/s, if you unable to give someone an inheritance , don’t call yourself a father - Jesus on the Lord’s prayer told them that when they pray they should say, “Our father” then after that they should say, “Give us this day”. A father must be able to give -Acts 26:18. When sinners get saved the first thing that they must get from you is their inheritance. - Lets go beyond Sunday service, cell groups, gatherings e.t.c - As Jesus and John communicated from womb to womb so it must be between us, I am pregnant, you are pregnant and we are communicating that we are going beyond Jordan - Because John and Jesus were cousins, they thought John was a messiah but it is not written anywhere that the messiah will come baptizing. It is only God who baptize, he baptized the children of Israel by letting them go through the red sea - In this life there are people who are given your position because you delayed to come, John was called messiah because Jesus delayed to come but today I have come to tell you that you are going to be at your position -The office of the prophet is to see, Saul comes to Samuel. Samuel didn’t appoint Saul because his name starts with an “S”. Samuel is an accurate prophet. The same prophet( Samuel) anointed both Saul and David, it may seem to be confusion but God works on principals. Saul was born before David but David had the qualities of being appointed as King. You delayed to be born again and somebody took your position but today you are going to your position - David was anointed in private at his father’s house , but how did Saul know that David was going to be the next king??? Because he did what no man could do, he killed a giant. This week you are going to become giant killers in Jesus name - Because of the great deeds he did they taught he was the messiah but he told them that he was not even worth to untie his shoeless. You might have seen great things but that is nothing compared to what God is about to do - Without the advantage of technology we have today, The whole world came to him(John) but we fail to bring people when we have the advantage of technology - Jesus was not coming to get spiritual anointing from John, he was baptized by the Holy spirit in the womb. - There is something about this John, He was willing to be in a womb of a 90year old woman, he took away the shame of his parents. Those who want to go beyond Jordan they must take the character of John the baptist - John celebrated Jesus, he said “ Even if the womb is small I am gonna dance for Jesus”. You should praise the Lord when the car is not there, when the money is not there - Elizabeth did not address Mary as relative but he said, “The mother of my Lord”. If you want to go to another level you should stop address people as you know them -There are times that God has to take you beyond confidence - Jesus first went to preach when he was 12 years old but tradition silenced him for 18 years until he was 30 years. One day he went to church and find a woman who have suffered for 18 years( the exact number of years that he was silenced because of tradition). DECLARATIONS: - Today we are going beyond Jordan in the name of Jesus, we are going beyond pentecost - Zimbabwe you are going beyond Jordan - You will possess lands in Jesus name - God is going to immense you these 7 days - I prophesy that in the next five years there will be churches in Zimbabwe big like this building - This week something great is coming to you - These seven days are going to be seven days of destiny in your life Apostle Robert Kayanja prayed for eight people chasing away the spirit of deafness and they were all delivered and received their miracle.
