DAY ONE IN YOUR DESTINY! Our DESTINIES are very precious to God and are very important to us. And yet to arrive to complete the DESTINY we must arrive at the DESTINations that have been preplanned and preorganized for us by Father God. The destinations are the “road markers” that we reach on the way. Have you ever seen a treasure map or at least seen one on TV? There are places or destinations that you will end up at on the way as you follow the map. One destination leads to the next. The word “destiny” derives from the word destination. So, as you are on your destiny expedition in life, you will arrive to many of the destinations to get you to your Promised Land. At times you will be in between one road marker and another. At others you will have made it to your road marker or destination and be parked on it for a period of time. In walking in destiny you should always be growing, always in drive, always developing. Let’s look at some of the people whose destinies unfolded for us to observe and learn from in The Word. There is Adam and Eve who began their lives in glory and then were sentenced to live outside of God’s perfect plans for them in thorns and difficulty. Esther who while walking out her destiny began her voyage by losing her parents and being raised by her cousin, Mordecai. Then she is taken to be a prospect of either a queen or part of a harem. She follows The course of God and finds herself being the Queen of Persia and being used in a heroine trial to save all the Jewish people. We find Mary betrothed to be married, a virgin, invited to carry God’s Son, and in her defining moment of destiny responds, I am the Lords servant, Mary answered. May it be to me as you have said. Then the angel left her.” (Luke 1:38) Mary, when on the road to her destiny had a hard decision to make and knew there would be great consequences to her decision, said YES Lord! “May it be to me as you have said.” This makes me want to ask myself and you . . . How many defining moments in our lives and roads of destinies, do we choose to do and go whenever, wherever and however The Lord tells us? How many defining moments have we missed and how many have we fulfilled? I heard a quote from a great woman of God say that some times in life God will take Plan B and make it Plan A! That is encouraging to me. For, many years I did not follow the plan of God. And through all of that disobedience, Jesus took all of the bad turns I had made and somehow supernaturally got me back on the correct route. He took YEARS of wrong turns of my destiny map and made me begin to come out at the road markers again. He got me back into the plans He has for me. And He will do the same for you too! He is no respecter of persons. Peter did not mean to nor did he have intentions to betray Jesus that night. But he did. He got off the map of destiny for a time, for Jesus told him that he would be used to build the Church with the revelation that Jesus was and is The Messiah. (SEE Matthew 16:18). Peter repented and got back on his destiny map and became one of the greatest leaders in The Church! Even if you are away from your destiny God has planned for you as you are reading this, you are just one prayer away from getting pointed in the right direction. Repent and surrender right now! Just say . . . “Jesus, I know I have done wrong and that I am a sinner and I need a Savior. I believe you died on a cross for my sins, you were buried for three days and then rose from the dead. I ask you to come into my life and save me, free me, and clean me. I confess today that you are Lord of my life. I will follow you for the rest of my days. Please begin to move me into my right destiny, help me Lord in Jesus Name, I believe I receive. Amen” Welcome to your new day in Christ! WELCOME TO DAY ONE OF DESTINY!
